# chroot

> Run command or interactive shell with special root directory.
|
|
|
|
- Run command as new root director:
|
|
|
|
`chroot {{/path/to/new/root}} {{command}}`
|
|
|
|
- Specify user and group (ID or name) to us:
|
|
|
|
`chroot −−userspec={{user:group}}`
|
